At Great Harvest we are known as "Millers and Bakers of Great Plains Wheat" because everyday we mill our own chemical-free wheat berries into fresh whole grain flour. We take the extra steps to do this for three reasons:
- First, wheat berries hold all their nutrients until they are milled, so by baking with our wheat within 48 hours of when it was milled, we ensure that you are getting the most vitamins, minerals and phytochemicals possible.
- Second, baking with freshly milled wheat means the taste is PHENOMENAL!!
- Third, the shelf life of our products is terrific! Seven to ten days for most items, kept just on your counter - no refrigeration needed, and NO PRESERVATIVES in anything we bake!
Every single item we bake is made from scratch right here in our kitchen - from our yeast breads to batter breads and muffins to cookies, brownies, energy bars and granolas, you can be assured that you are getting the freshest, healthiest baked goods available anywhere.
